New Forest Valais Blacknose takes Reserve Champion at Romsey Show

It was a very rainy day for the last of our Summer shows on 10th Sept, but that didn't stop us having a great day!  Being the first Valais Blacknoses ever to have been entered in to the Romsey Show, there was significant interest and delight in our sheep, and a lot of familiar faces from previous shows coming back to see them again.  We'd like to thank everyone who came to support us throughout the season, it's very much appreciated.

We were absolutely delighted with the results on the day:

1st prize for Remus, 3rd for Winnie and 3rdin the Groups of 3 with Remus, Winnie & Maud in the Rare & Minority Breed classes;

3rd in the Groups of 3 and 1stfor Winnie in the Longwool classes, followed by Reserve Champion for Winnie which was a real honour!  Once again, we took part in the Grand Parade into the main ring along with the other prize-winning livestock which was a great way to round off the day and celebrate our lambs' successes.  What a great way to close the show season!

We now look forward to preparing for our lambs that are due in Oct/Nov....watch this space!!
